about me
My name is Mette Marx. I am now into my seventh decade, having been born in the Virgin Islands to Danish immigrants. My travels landed me in Wyoming in the early 1970's, and aside for a short stint in northeast Texas, Wyoming has been my home for many years.

I am very happily married for the last 30 plus years to a wonderful, Torah-observant husband. Between us, we have 6 children, an even dozen grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom we greatly enjoy. Our current place of residence is a home on the outskirts of a medium sized town, close enough to the facilities we need, but still barely 'out of town'. Thus far, we have not been successful in finding a Messianic community close to us, and like so many folks, we receive our ‘feeding and instruction’ from those live services that can be found on the internet.
It has been more than 15 years since we stepped out of the Westernized Church System in search of something we knew we were missing, and enthusiastically walked right into a Torah observant lifestyle. Together, we do our utmost to walk in HIS ways, by following His divine instructions in moral and righteous living. We understand that we have not arrived, but we “press on toward the goal for the prize of the high calling of Elohim in Messiah יהושע.” (Phil 3:14)
I believe in the validity of the Tanakh, what is commonly referred to as the Old Testament, and I believe that all of it is applicable for today. I choose to walk in His ways, His Torah, because first, I believe that it is commanded, and second, because I love the One who created me, and I strive to be obedient.
I recognize and acknowledge that my redemption is not by keeping Torah. However, I choose to guard the Torah because I have been delivered and redeemed by the shed blood of Messiah Yeshua.
“Blessed are the perfect in the way, Who walk in the Torah of יהוה! Blessed are those who observe His witnesses, Who seek Him with all the heart! Yea, they shall do no unrighteousness; They shall walk in His ways. You have commanded us To guard Your orders diligently. Oh, that my ways were established To guard Your laws! Then I would not be ashamed, When I look into all Your commands. I thank You with uprightness of heart, When I learn the right-rulings of Your righteousness. I guard Your laws; Oh, do not leave me entirely!” (Psa 119:1-8)
